Project Overview

Amblers Orchard, a 63 residential apartment assisted living scheme based in Wakefield comprises 63 individual apartments of 1 and 2 bedrooms complete with living spaces, walk-in shower rooms, kitchen and storage areas and a balcony.

The scheme benefits from an active presence of staff to support the residents in their day to day activities. A nurse call system provides secure living accommodation for anyone with specific health needs monitored 24 hours per day by offsite and on-site teams with full lift access to all floors.

Amblers Orchard has beautiful grounds for residents to enjoy the outdoors, walk their dogs, and even play chess on a large chessboard or play bowls. A large atrium area with a large TV arrangement and day spaces provide areas where family and friends can visit and has great meeting spaces for residents too.

A wider more public area of the scheme provides a dining area, café and hair salon for residents and locals alike bringing the community together. The building has a highly efficient arrangement of gas boilers, CHP system with ventilation and air conditioning in the communal spaces. Door access to all living spaces is through a localised door access control meaning the communal area is segregated from the living spaces providing a secure, relaxing living environment for all.
